Just because you purchase a basket or bin, doesn’t mean your clothing will stay organized. You have to know what works and for which personality it works for. Amazon is a super way to illustrate the various closet organizers which exist. Purchasing the wrong product is a big piece of unnecessary clutter in your home so be careful before you make a purchase. Any product you see here has features which I recommend although I may not have had first hand experience with the product myself. I may earn from qualifying purchases in the links here at no added expense to you.
Please look at my comments by each product to see if it will work for you. Feel free to use these examples as a guide to sizes and measurements and find something compatible in a store in your area.

PROFESSIONAL PICKS FOR CLOSET SHELVES
Use bins or dividers like these to contain your piles. Choose the dimensions which work best with your closet shelf. I personally like the trapezoid shaped bins best – you can see everthing in there! Purchase labeled bins for a closet shared by a few children.
PROFESSIONAL PICKS FOR CLOTHING DRAWERS
Make sure to select the correct height – the top of the divider should come pretty close to the top of the drawer. If its too low, clothing will land on top of it and the dividers will become useless. Use small sections for small items such as ties or undergarments
PROFESSIONAL PICKS FOR HANGING
The wrong hanger can create a dysfunctional closet. Choose a set of uniform hangers which don’t get tangled in each other. Organize your clothing by category or by person with clothing rack dividers or colored hangers.
PROFESSIONAL PICKS FOR LAUNDRY
There are many drying rack options out there, here are some of my favorites.
Ironing and folding go quickly when you are set up correctly.
