Are your containers floating between your pots? Did you find the hand blender yet? Are those brown knives pareve or fleishig, anyone know? Is this pot the milchig one, fleishig one or pesachdik one?
I’m sure (I hope) that by now you have put Pesach away… But did you also put your kitchen back together?
If you have been following my Pesach-Prep series, you hopefully you didn’t do too much damage to your kitchen. But I imagine that there are still many kitchens out there that need to be reorganized after Pesach.
Stop reading this and go take care of it right now.
Don’t let a one-week holiday ruin your kitchen for an entire year. Take the time to put everything back in its place. Now.
Want to bring the organization up a notch? Here are three of my favorite kitchen organizing tips:
- Don’t store small items together with larger ones. Trivets mixed into the pot drawer and water bottles stored with the baking pans make it hard to retrieve the larger items and harder to locate the smaller items.
- Keep your cabinets only ¾ full. Packed cabinets and drawers are hard to open, hard to close and hard to find what you need easily.
- Declutter (yes, you can start again ) Remove the rusty can opener, never-used frying pan, stick-less ice pop makers and icky containers.
Enjoy your kitchen that you worked so hard to clean erev Pesach!
